Headford Lace Project.

It’s like Christmas Eve here in HLP. Over the last ten days we’ve been working away behind the scenes to prepare fornthe relacing of Lace Matrix.

The boards that will act as our pillow have been painstakingly markednout by the committee and many, many holes have been predrilled by our friends at Headford Mens Shed.

The heart itself has been loving cleaned and repainted by Pat Monaghan or Forge metal works. You’ll remember Pat built worked with artist Róisín de Buitléar to make Lace Matrix in the first place.

And today the final jigsaw piece slotted in when Finnish lace artist Tarmo Thorström arrived in Headford full of ideas and enthusiasm and ready to go.

The stage is set and tomorrow the work starts in earnest. Lace Matrix relacing 2024 here we come!
