The Presentation College Headford U17 girls got their season off to the best possible start with a 5-3 victory over a good Colaiste Chiarain team from Athlone.

The PCH ladies went 2 nil up before the opposition got a penalty to bring it to 2-1. Our ladies went 3-1 up before the halftime whistle. The second half started well as the PCH ladies went 4-1 up. The opposition fought back and with only minutes remaining the match was at 4-3. However the resilient PCH team scored a 5th straight from the kick off.

Goals from hat trick hero Katie Farragher, Sarah Lynch and a cracker from Roisin Sweeney. Great result, and well done to the entire squad who train after school to show their dedication.
